The Val Gardena is an ideal base from which loves to explore one of the world’s most beautiful and ancient mountain destinations; the Italian Dolomites of the South Tyrol.  Made up of three classic Alpine villages, Selva (1,563m), St. Cristina (1,428m) and Ortisei (1,236m) and overlooked by the mighty 3181-metre Sassolungo peak, breathtaking views and a healthy environment create alovely place to relax and unwind this summer. 

Val Gardena (www.valgardena.it) has announced a new mountain run for summer 2012. On July 22, entry is €25pp, the race covers 14.5km with an altitude difference of 1,280m, and the prize - open to amateurs and professionals alike – is €3000.
