The uphill lifts close for the end of season on 6th April 2014. After this date however is the best period to enjoy the Dolomites landscape – this thanks to alpine skiing opportunities. There will be abundant snow until Easter this year and a great number of routes are available between mountain passes and leading to amazing peaks from where you enjoy wonderful panoramic views and great downhill descents.

Between 25 and 29 June 2013 in Val Gardena all revolves around the collective fun in movement.

During this time Val Gardena will be the venue for the 13th Volkssport Olympiad. Thousands of amateur athletes from all around the world are going to participate in the disciplines of walking, running, swimming and cycling. The special feature here is the shared joy of movement in the beautiful nature of the Dolomites. Insight the context of sporting event will take place on June 27, the first edition of "Val Gardena-Gröden Marathon Running Race".
