Aiut Alpin Dolomites

☎ 112 - First aid, Sanitary emergency, alpine rescue and Carabinieri

A voluntary mountain rescue subscription scheme is in operation with "Aiut Alpin Dolomites" for rescue by helicopter H 135 T3 (Airbus Helicopters). Aiut Alpin Dolomites is the umbrella association of all the mountain rescue services in Val Gardena, Val Badia, Val di Fassa, Siusi/Castelrotto, Tires and Funes. The association operates its own helicopter rescue service, which is free of charge to subscribers, including subsequent transportation to hospital for treatment.
The subscription cost for the full year amounts to € 40,00 per person or € 60,00 for the whole family and is valid in Europe (see list of countries). You can subscribe to membership at any bank and alpine guides office in Val Gardena or online.

Slope rescue

On all of the Dolomiti Superski ski slopes you can rest assured that in the case of accident you'll be taken from the slope to the ambulance or helicopter. We really hope that will never be necessary. Emergency service on the slopes has been taken on in Val Gardena, as well as in other destinations, by the Carabinieri of Ortisei for over 30 years. Some volunteers of the Red Cross, the Aiut Alpin Dolomites rescue helicopter, the Pelikan 1, 2 and 3 rescue helicopters and other local rescue services have finally cooperated, too. The emergency service on the slopes and the transport to the next ambulance, are in Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi free of charge. The functions of the Carabinieri are to coordinate the rescue service and assure the safeness on the slopes in order that all skiers can ski down without concern. Emergency - how report

Do you know immediately what to do in case of an emergency? Do you feel well prepared? Ambulance or fire brigade are usually not immediately on the spot, but have to be alerted. What do with injured people? When was your last first aid course? Still too few people know what to do in case of an emergency and make nothing, out of fear. Yet, the emergency call 112 and first aid basics are lifesaving measures.

  • Safeguard, if necessary, the damaged area
  • Call 112 for help
  • Perform the live-saving measures
