Welcome to the new Mountain Chalet Ghilga in the Dolomites in South Tyrol – Luxury Vacation for the whole family in the world natural heritage of UNESCO

A luxurious Chalet, built in 1930 and completely restored in 2015, for the first time since its restoration, will be rented out for the 2015/2016 winter season. Its name, “Ghilga” comes from the Lilium Candidum flower, unique and precious as a lily. The Chalet is located in a slightly elevated position, with a wonderful view of the mountains surrounding it and of the town of Ortisei, on the valley’s sunny slope. The structure is 150m2 with refined fixtures such as: panoramic window, exposed antique wood ceiling beams, two double rooms - each with “en-suite” bath, and a cozy living area, with up to 6 beds.

The exclusive Chalet has five floors. It is furnished with natural materials such as stone and aged wood. It sits on the slope of the mountain, offering a beautiful view of the valley floor and of the local mountain Saslong. Thanks to its southern disposition, you can enjoy the Sun all day through the large panoramic windows which are in the living area and the bedroom, as well as from the terrace-garden.

There is a spacious living room on the ground floor, with a kitchenette made up of a solid wood kitchen complete with electric stove, oven with built in microwave, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, boiler. In addition to small wine cellars with a choice of over 30 fine wines with “ZALTO” wine glasses (the house has a wine list of more than 500 wines which you can have delivered directly to the Chalet).

There is a table which seats six to eight people in the dining area. In the adjacent living area there is a comfortable sofa, 48 inch flat screen LED television with 140 channels, and a Heos brand multiroom music system. From the living area, you can access the terrace-garden with a wonderful view of the valley. On the first floor, there is a double room, complete with private bath and double sinks, a multi-sensory shower, bidet and toilet. The second floor has our romantic attic with a private bath, shower, bidet and toilet. Both rooms have a private balcony.

Our private spa is in the basement of the Chalet’s. It is 50m2 and has a Finnish sauna, Jacuzzi, multi-sensory shower and a cold water cave to cool down, and, there is a resting room with waterbeds. Completing the offer is a separate guest bath. There is a ski room with a ski boot dryer in the cantina, as well as a laundry room with washer, dryer, and iron and ironing board.

There is a private, heated 3-car garage – with a maximum height of 2.60 meters. The structure has a private elevator. The Chalet may also be reached by an external staircase, from which you arrive to the stairway. The Chalet is 800 meters from downtown and from the ski lifts. There is a ski bus stop directly in front of our structure. The house is reachable by car year-round. There are paths which make for taking wonderful walks in both Summer and Winter, which leave directly from the Chalet. All local stores and restaurants can be reached by foot.
