DOLOMITIVITY

Where nature restores energy

Dolomitivity is the energy created by the connection between people and the natural power of the Dolomites.

What is the DOLOMITIVITY-Effect??

As the Dolomites light up with the colours of the Enrosadira, silence settles over the mountains and the crisp high-altitude air invites you to breathe deeply, creating a sense of renewal for both body and mind. A natural source of fresh energy. We call it DOLOMITIVITY.

The special effect of the Dolomites goes beyond what we simply feel. Scientific research suggests that natural light, tranquillity and pure high-altitude air can positively influence our well-being in different ways. In the Dolomites and Val Gardena, these elements come together in a particularly powerful way, creating conditions that are difficult to experience elsewhere.

The LIGHT of the Dolomites - The Magic of Enrosadira

At certain moments of the day, the Dolomites are transformed by light.

The Dolomite walls take on warm tones of rose, orange and violet, creating the spectacular glow known as the Enrosadira – one of the most distinctive natural phenomena of these mountains. Natural light is closely linked to our well-being. Scientific studies show that it contributes to processes such as vitamin D production and helps regulate serotonin, melatonin and our natural sleep–wake rhythm. But the Enrosadira is also something to be experienced emotionally. It encourages you to slow down, look around and simply take in the moment, while the mountains seem to change before your eyes.

A phenomenon that has inspired stories and legends for generations – and today offers yet another way to experience the restorative power of the Dolomites.

The SILENCE of the Dolomites - The Value of Quiet

Today, noise has become a constant presence.

In a world filled with constant noise, messages and movement, moments of genuine quiet have become increasingly precious. Yet silence and low-noise environments can play an important role in helping the body and mind recover. Scientific studies suggest that reduced exposure to noise can support relaxation and may contribute to lower stress levels, heart rate and blood pressure. The Dolomites offer many places where natural quiet can still be experienced in a particularly intense way. And then there is the silence that cannot be measured. The rustle of the wind through alpine meadows. The gentle sound of water between the rocks. The moment when everyday distractions fade and space opens up for your own thoughts.
In the Dolomites, silence is not simply the absence of noise.

It becomes part of the experience – helping you slow down, reconnect and perceive your surroundings more consciously.

The AIR of the Dolomites - The Energy of High Altitude

In the high-altitude air of the Dolomites, every breath feels different.

At elevations between 1,800 and 3,000 metres, the Dolomites reveal a very distinctive alpine environment. The air at higher altitudes is generally cooler, drier and often contains fewer airborne allergens than in the valleys below. Scientific research has long explored how the human body responds to altitude. These natural adaptation processes, together with the particular characteristics of the mountain climate, are also an important aspect of alpine climate therapy. The surrounding larch and Swiss pine forests add another dimension to this environment. Trees release natural compounds known as phytoncides, which are being studied for their possible connection with relaxation, well-being and reduced perception of stress. Yet some aspects of mountain air are best experienced rather than measured. The first deep breath after gaining altitude. The breeze crossing a mountain ridge. Cool air moving through the forest. That unmistakable feeling of freshness and lightness that comes with being high in the mountains.

In the Dolomites, breathing becomes part of the experience.
