Culture and lifestyle in the Dolomites

The Curona de Gherdëina is one of South Tyrol’s most impressive hiking routes, redefining trekking for experienced mountaineers and leisure hikers alike. Over some 60 kilometres, this multi-day tour circles the entire Val Gardena valley and leads through some of the most spectacular landscapes in the Dolomites.

A line-up that makes every hiker’s heart beat faster

Val Gardena is world-famous for its legendary peaks, but the Curona de Gherdëina (Ladin for “Val Gardena Crown”) truly is the icing on the cake. It is an invitation to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites in all their majestic glory. From the Odle peaks across the Puez plateau to the Sella massif, Sassolungo and Seiser Alm, hikers come face to face with the Alps’ true “rock stars”.

The rock stars of the Dolomites are waiting for you!

The Curona de Gherdëina is far more than just a hike – it is an exclusive journey through the most spectacular settings of the Alps. The combination of impressive daily stages, modern infrastructure, cosy accommodation in the valley and charming alpine refuges, makes this tour especially appealing for both experienced mountain hikers and ambitious leisure trekkers.

Culturonda® Dolomythos is part of the Culturonda® cultural project. Culturonda® has drawn together the twelve most important cultural themes in South Tyrol presenting culture as a journey of discovery, among them the Dolomites, ‘Ötzi’, South Tyrol’s cuisine and wines. The routes can be planned individually and combined. Culturonda© reveals how culture in South Tyrol is much more than visits to churches and museums: culture in South Tyrol is savoir vivre, relevant to daily life and palpable at every turn.
