Churches

Dolomites Val Gardena’s churches are interesting for a number of reasons: they’re centuries-old architectural works of art which have withstood the inclement weather conditions experienced on the mountains. They also house beautiful altars, nativity scenes and wooden works of art representing the world-famous Dolomites Val Gardena woodcarving and sculpting. Moreover, the various churches peppering the different villages and the mountain chapels all speak of the deeply-rooted Christian faith in the region. Visit the churches and chapels which are open for viewing or visit them during a Sunday mass or festive days, as holiday-goers are always welcome.
