Find the animals in the woods

In Val Gardena we live in an enchanting nature; this fantastic Dolomite territory is also a natural habitat of numerous wild animals as the ibex, golden eagle, wolf, rock partridge, chamois, eagleowl, roe deer, hedgehog, black grouse, fox, marmot, ermine, deer, buzzard, owl, viper, hazel grouse, grou, lynx, black raven, woodpecker, squirrel, badger, hare and many more.

As these animals live freely, it is very difficult to encounter them, so the idea of a thematic path was born in collaboration with 15 students the Professional School of Arts in Ortisei. The wood carved life-sized animals were then positioned along the walks around Selva Val Gardena.

Find the animals

From the centre of Selva, the trail leads you towards the Vallunga Valley, where you can immerse yourself in the middle of the Puez-Odle Nature Park. Continue along one of the oldest paths, where you will find many hidden animals in addition to the 15 stations depicting the Passion of Christ. But the search does not end here, from the centre of the village follow path number 27, here you will find many other breathtaking wild animals.

Have fun on the wild track hunt!
