Description
Experience one of Val Gardena’s most beautiful religious traditions, featuring festive music, splendid traditional costumes and the Corpus Christi procession through the village centre. Corpus Christi honours the presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist and, in Ortisei, is traditionally celebrated on the Sunday following the feast day. After the solemn Mass, the local community joins a procession through the village, accompanied by the brass band, associations and traditional costume groups. The Blessed Sacrament is carried through the village and honoured at beautifully decorated outdoor altars.
