Guests staying at one of our accommodation facilities, partner of a Tourist Association of Val Gardena, will receive a free digital Val Gardena Guest Pass upon booking or check-in. The Card gives free use of all public buses in Val Gardena (except the Nightbus and Monte Pana/Saltria bus) and free use of nearly all public transport in South Tyrol (read Terms and Conditions). You can use your Val Gardena Guest Pass also on check-ind and check-out day! Parking spaces in Val Gardena, e.g. near lift facilities or on the passes, are limited and not free. Just another reason to avoid using your car on holiday and make the most of public transport. The Val Gardena Guest Pass is personal and non-transferable!

The valley bus runs every 15 minutes. There are fewer journeys in the early and late season.

How do I get my Val Gardena Guest Pass?

The Val Gardena Guest Pass is provided free of charge by the participating accommodations at the check-in or sent to you after the pre-check-in. Make sure that your accommodation is a member of a Val Gardena tourist association in order to receive your pass. The Val Gardena Guest Pass will be sent to your email address by the accommodation, including an electronic version and a PDF. If you prefer a printed copy or do not have access to your e-mail, the accommodation provider can print out the PDF for you on arrival by prior arrangement.

What does the Val Gardena Guest Pass include?

The basic service included in every Val Gardena Guest Pass includes the use of all buses in Val Gardena (except the Nightbus and Monte Pana/Saltria bus) and and free use of nearly all public transport in South Tyrol. Depending on the accommodation provider, additional local services may be included in the Val Gardena Guest Pass. These may include the swimming pool agreement with Mar Dolomit, free or heavily discounted participation in Val Gardena Active activities, free entry to HC Gherdëina home games as well as to the indoor tennis facility, free ice skating, and much more. The range of services will be continuously expanded in the future to offer guests in Val Gardena even more benefits and unique experiences.

When is my Val Gardena Guest Pass valid?

Your Val Gardena Guest Pass is valid during your entire stay, from 00:00 on the day of arrival until 23:59 on the day of departure.

Can I also use the Val Garden Guest Pass for arrival/departure?

The Val Gardena Guest Pass can also be used conveniently for travelling to and from the resort/accommodation and actively contributes to the promotion of sustainable mobility. It includes the use of all buses in Val Gardena (except the Nightbus & Monte Pana/Saltria bus) and almost all public transport in South Tyrol.

Do children need their own guest card?

The Val Gardena Guest Pass is available to all guests over the age of 6. If your child does not have a Val Gardena Guest Pass, please contact your accommodation provider. Children up to the age of 6 travel free of charge.

How do I validate the Val Gardena Guest Pass?

At the start of each journey, please scan the QR code of your Val Gardena Guest Pass at the validation machine provided. The validation is confirmed by an acoustic signal and an OK on the display. For train journeys, this must be done before boarding. The Val Gardena Guest Pass is valid as a valid ticket on the VVT Regiobus 273 Mals-Pfunds/Kajetansbrücke, 335 Moos i.P.-Obergurgl and on the PostBus Switzerland 811 Mals-Müstair.
In the event of a malfunction, the Val Gardena Guest Pass is valid as a visual pass!

Which public transport is not included in the Val Gardena Guest Pass?

The Val Gardena Guest Pass does not cover the use of special lines such as the Nightliner, long-distance trains (e.g. Eurocity, Intercity Notte, Railjet, Frecciarossa, Italo) and the Alpine lines (Alpe di Siusi lines 10, 11, 12 and 439, 440, 442, 444 in summer).
