Genuine and non-bottled - Just turn the tap on and fill your glass with the highest quality water!

Drinking water from plastic bottles leaves permanent traces in the environment. Only by working together will we be able to leave a cleaner world to future generations. Val Gardena’s water comes from the pristine “Plans de Cunfin” springs, at the foot of the Sassolungo massif and from the Natural Parc Puez-Odle. Periodical checks demonstrate that our water respects the highest microbiological quality standards.

In Val Gardena, the tap water is of drinking water quality. Our drinking water is of high quality and should be treated with respect.

Our drinking water in Val Gardena:

  • is sourced directly from nature – there are numerous sources of drinking water, which are regularly tested
  • protects the environment – it avoids unnecessary packaging and transport routes
  • is a limited resource – its conscientious use prevents unnecessary consumption
  • promotes health – the human body needs at least 1.5 liters of water per day

"Every Drop Counts" – Saving Water in the High Mountains

Water is a precious and limited resource in the high mountains. Mountain huts often have only a small water supply, which must be used with great care. By using water responsibly, you can help protect this valuable resource.

Here's how you can help:

  • Avoid showering and washing clothes or hiking boots at mountain huts.
  • Please bring enough drinking water from the valley, as the quality of the drinking water at the mountain hut cannot be guaranteed. Please take your empty plastic bottles back down to the valley with you.
  • Enjoy the hut's food and beverage offerings. The menu may be intentionally adapted or limited depending on the available water supply.
  • Help reduce unnecessary dishwashing by reusing the same glass or plate when having a second serving.
  • Please do not dispose of toilet paper in the toilet. Use the designated waste bins instead.

Thank you for helping to protect the precious water resources of the Dolomites.
