Reinhold Messner is constantly looking for new challenges, even today: formerly on the mountain, now mainly as a film producer. But Messner is also a storyteller. In the film ‘Langkofel’ – a production by the ‘Messner Mountain Movie’ company – he combines both passions. He feels the same way as Paul Groh-mann must have done when ascending the Sassolungo and, above all, lets the pictures speak for themselves: just like with all his fil-ms, a true, ‘live’ story is presented, because fiction does not come close to reality, at least emotionally, anyway. The main actor is the mountain. In the supporting roles you will find various South Tyrolean actors and mountain guides. The film will be released in the summer of 2019.
