The scenic ridge trail on the Seceda with spectacular panoramic views

The ridge hike, known as the Ridge Line Trail on the Seceda, runs from the mountain station of the Seceda cable car to the summit cross at 2,519 m and continues towards the Panascharte saddle. Along the way, dramatic cliff views open up, and near the summit cross you’ll find a panoramic viewpoint with named peaks for easy orientation.

The actual ridge section is around 1 km long and can be comfortably completed in about one hour, including scenic stops. For this reason, we recommend integrating it into a longer day hike. The Ridge Line Trail can be perfectly included at the beginning, in the middle, or at the end of your tour.

Attention: Descending east from the summit cross of the Seceda (trail no. 6), there is now a paid turnstile (5,00 €) allowing further access towards the Panascharte saddle (the saddle itself is not accessible). This section is not essential, as you can already enjoy the famous panoramic views directly along the summit ridge.

To continue your hike into the Puez-Odle Nature Park or towards the lower-lying Mastlé Alm, you can alternatively follow trail no. 1, which runs slightly below.

There are several ways to reach the Seceda Ridge Line - here are some recommended options.
